"Janelle Monáe Doesn't Believe In Late Fees" is part of a series of pop-culture inspired acrylics in bright colours that brought as much joy to paint as they hopefully will bring to collectors who choose to hang them. I love creating that feeling of surprise, a laugh, or smile, in the viewer, by presenting a familiar subject in an unfamiliar or unexpected way.
Works are carefully packaged for shipping in reused packaging materials to reduce the environmental footprint associated with getting my work safely to buyers. You may see the occasional cereal box logo in the packaging of your purchases from my shop, but you can feel good about knowing that waste is minimized in this way.
