Frequently Asked Questions

Do you accept commissions for custom artwork?

Yes! I accept commissions for work in my style - take a look at my Available Paintings and Past Work pages to get an idea of what that looks like, and submit your idea through the Contact page! Commissions are priced according to the size of the painting. I will only accept commissions that align with my style and that I am confident I can do an excellent job with.

How does the commission process work?

It begins by submitting your idea via my Contact page (subject, size, requested completion date). From there I can quote you a price and develop a sketch or digital mockup for your approval. At that point I will ask for a 50% deposit, with the remaining cost due when the item is ready to ship, or be picked up. The usual completion time is 4-6 weeks depending on the size and complexity of the work, but this can vary during the year (i.e. it will take longer in the pre-holiday season).

Can I get that print bigger (or smaller)?

The short answer is maybe! It depends on the piece and there are size limitations based on the size of the original. Let me know what you have in mind through the Contact page and I can let you know the options!

Where can I see more of your work?

Instagram is usually the first place I post new work. You can find me there under the username @kfardyartist

Please also join my newsletter for updates and the occasional discount code. No spam, I promise - I send an email roughly once a month. Enter your email at the bottom of the page to be added to the list.

You can also check out my list of upcoming markets and shows here

Can I shop in person?

In Ottawa, I also have a selection of items available year-round (along with lots of other locally handmade goods) at Motif! Boutique in Hintonburg (986 Wellington St. West).
