This listing offers two print type options:
1. a limited edition (1 of 25) *signed and numbered* archival quality giclee print on textured fine art paper. This paper has an acid free base, PH Buffered, 100% cotton rag on 340 gsm weight. (image is 8x8" with a white border - total measurement 10.5x10.5")
2. an open edition print on matte photo paper (image is 8x8" with a white border - total measurement 10.5x10.5")
Prints can be ordered on their own or with a custom smooth white mat to fit a standard 12x12" frame.
Both prints are taken from a high quality professional fine art scan of the original acrylic painting.
This painting is the first work in an ongoing series titled "My name in lights / all the things they called us", illuminating - literally - the words that have been used (not always kindly) to describe or refer to queer women, in the past and present.
"My Name In Lights (Dyke)" is an original 10x10" acrylic painting on wood panel. It features the word "dyke" in pink/red marquee lights on a blue background.
Works are carefully packaged for shipping in reused packaging materials to reduce the environmental footprint associated with getting my work safely to buyers. You may see the occasional cereal brand logo in the packaging of your purchases from my shop, but you can feel good about knowing that waste is minimized in this way.
